Join us Saturday, October 13^th, on what was to be the first game of the new season for … it’s not a celebration, but it is a good time for fans to get together and relive the magic of Opening Night.

We will have highlights of great hockey from the past on all day, starting at 11 AM.

The party, for lack of anything else to call it, runs from 7-10PM with a live DJ after.

We will be running highlights from the Summit Series of 1972, Canada vs USSR, which many regard as the greatest series of hockey ever played.  There will also be special guests and a lot of fun.  Reminisce the game we all love, together!

For only $5.95 choose between our delicious breakfast sandwich or a breakfast platter.  It’s also a great time to talk with other fans ahead of the scrimmage.

The Wild Prospects Scrimmage is at the Xcel Energy Center from 11AM to 2PM – free and open to the public.   This is the second game in the developmental camp.  It’s a chance for young players who want to make it with the Wild to show what they have.  The first game on Thursday drew 6,500 eager fans who can’t wait for the great season ahead!

The Wild is hosting a draft party from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 22 here at Tom Reid’s Hockey City Pub during the first round of the 50th annual Entry Draft.

Kevin Falness, Wild radio host, and Mike Greenlay, television analysis, will emcee the event. The duo will interview team representatives from the draft, including Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher, and Minnesota’s first round pick.

The NHL Draft continues with higher rounds, and it will be carried live at Reid’s!  Free breakfast Saturday from 8:30 – 9:30 and festivities all day long!

We will have drink specials and fans can register to win fantastic prizes.  Watch this space with updates on who will be attending from the Wild and other NHL teams.

Defending The Blue Line (DTBL) is a great organization that makes sure children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. They do this by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.

DTBL is hosting an NHL Players Charity Game and Autograph Session presented by Gander Mountain on Wednesday, June 20 at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota Campus.  Kids events start at 3:30, and the Charity Game is at 7:00.  It’s an event any real hockey fan can’t afford to miss, and it’s all for a great cause.

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.  Players scheduled to play include Jeff Taffe, Nate Prosser, and Zach Parise.  Follow the links for more information, including a complete schedule and how to buy tickets.

NHL Playoffs start Wednesday, April 11th.  We will have every game on our 19 TVs – if you need to have your favorite team on where you’re sitting, just ask us!

Our ginormous 120” HDTV in the Event Room is the ultimate fan party spot.  If you’d like to reserve it for a crucial game please let us know 24 hours in advance so we can tell you if it is booked.

We will open on Wednesday at 10AM for a light breakfast offering.  Thursday and Friday we will open at 9AM.  If you’re in town and need a bite before heading off to the games for the day, there is no better place than Reid’s!

So that we can accommodate the periodic rushes that we expect between games, there will be no salad bar on Thursday and Friday.

All the games will be played on our 29 TVs, so there is a view from everywhere.  This includes the giant 120” HDTV in our back room, the best seat outside of the Xcel Center!  After the games we will have a live DJ on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 9PM, so join us to keep the party going on late into the night.

What is Canadian cuisine?  Former Canadian Prime Minister Joe Clark said that “Canada has a cuisine of cuisines.  Not a stew pot, but a smorgasbord.”  We agree, and combining that with favorites here in the US has been a challenge.  But we made it work with the creativity and skill of our brilliant kitchen staff.  If you haven’t seen our new menu yet, you can find it here.

One of the great new treats we are pleased to offer are Puck Dogs.  These start with a 3-inch wide hot dog sliced into meaty “pucks”.  These are then grilled to perfection and served on a hamburger bun three ways – as a Chicago Dog (The Blackhawk), the Montreal Toastie (with creamy coleslaw)  or as a Chili Dog.  These are unique to Tom Reid’s and a must try.
